More first-time buyers 'looking for houses for sale in UK'

There has been an increase in the number of people looking to
purchase a house for sale in the UK, according to recent
results.
Last week, mortgage adviser John Charcol revealed that the number
of first-time buyers applying for home loans in July 2010 had risen
by 80 per cent.
Director of marketing at the company Drew Wotherspoon stated that
this is the "highest level since February".
It was added that it "suggests that first-time buyers are willing
to dip their toe into the market again".
Property expert Helen Adams stated this increase could indicate
that conditions are easing for first-time buyers.
She said this could be the result of lenders "giving a little bit
more money" now compared with previous months.
Ms Adams also predicted that this proportion of first-time buyers
is likely to increase over the rest of the year, due to levelling
property prices and more accessible lending.
