Property vendors told 'now is the time to act'

Those thinking of selling their homes have been told that "now is
the time to do it", while buyers should apparently not leave it
"too late" to get on the housing ladder.
That is the assessment of the current property market, according to
the sales manager at one London estate agent.
Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward's Jenny Collett told the Financial
Times Adviser that the market "is buzzing" in the Southfields area
of the capital.
"Instructions, the number of buyers and the number of completed
sales have all increased over the last month," she explained.
"I think that we are in for a good summer. The property market
appears to be rallying."
Earlier this week, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
released research that suggested the gap between property asking
and selling prices was narrowing.
Ms Collett agreed, saying that offers are getting closer to the
asking price all the time.
