Our year long Spot-it competition to celebrate our amazing 250 years in business has come to an end. Throughout 2017 we challenged you to spot the local landmark and let us know where it is. You did really well most of the time:
You had no trouble with this lovely lady on the top of Ally Pally,
or with this sheaf of corn on the top of Dunn’s Bakery in Crouch End.
However, this one foxed you all! It is the bell tower of Martin Primary School in East Finchley,
so, to make up for this difficult one we chose something really, really easy. You liked it!
We thought this one would be easy too but it seems not, although there were plenty of correct answers too,
but this archer proved to be a well known chap.
Another church – this time in Highgate. This was an easy one for me as I was married there – it’s St Michael’s, of course.
I loved this photo as did you – it is of the bus station roundabout at the top of Muswell Hill.
This is another of my favourites – the fountain outside Hornsey Library.
This lady was a bit more confusing – you got there though – she’s a caryatid from Lubetkin’s High Point in Highgate.
Everyone seems to love a bad boy – so you correctly identified this one as the Spriggan of Parkland Walk.
And lastly we challenged you to identify this gorgeous creature – which again, you all seemed to know as it stands atop a pub – The Bald Faced Stag, right opposite our East Finchley office.

We have had many happy prize winners but the last in line was Fiona Orford-Williams, pictured here collecting her prize from Nigel Ellis. Well done to e won a prize and thank you to everyone who entered.
