It’s going to be a busy weekend for anyone who still needs to do their Christmas shopping – that probably means most of us.

But why not just take some time out and pop in to the Crouch End Picturehouse https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema/Crouch_End_Picturehouse/Whats_On for a hearty helping of happiness with films such as:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi – I am intrigued to see how Luke Skywalker has aged since we last met – and the film is supposed to be really good even for people who have never seen any of the others.

Then there’s this one – Paddington 2 – with a jolly cast including Hugh Grant who seems to have endeared himself to the public again with this quirky, self-effacing performance. A great one to see with children – or maybe a guilty pleasure.

Call Me by Your Name immerses the viewer in the stunning, seductive setting of the Italian Riviera, and allows the film to flourish as an evocation of the universal joys and pains of first love. I think I would go just to be in a sun-kissed Italian dream of a 17th century house and garden. This one has great reviews.

There are a host of other things on too, like the Singing Ringing Tree on Sunday for Club Members or showings especially for people with babies under one year old and screenings for people on the autism spectrum. With so much going on it really is worth being a member and, we happen to be giving away a membership with plus 1 this month to the lucky winner of our Spot-it Competition. All you have to do is identify where this photo was taken.

This will be very well known to anyone who likes a walk – the creature is called a Spriggan – so, where is he? Click here to tell us https://www.prickettandellis.com/spot-it-2/
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
