There will be plenty of Big Bangs tonight as the Ally Pally Fireworks Festival gets under way.
For the first time the event has been extended to not one but two days of festival fever. There are still some tickets available for tonight but tomorrow night is sold out.
There’s a lot going on from a Day of the Dead Parade:
‘A carnival of the macabre, ‘Dia Del Los Muertos’. The veil of the spirit world hangs thin in the still night air, until the dead come out to play! Witness our fantastical parade as it snakes, shakes, limbers and lumbers itself around the stunning grounds of Alexandra Palace. Giant fun skeletons jangle with life as a Drum machine pierces the dead of night sky, whilst Big Bands erupt from amongst the fire and smoke! The dead are very much alive, and YOU are very much invited to come and play.’ http://www.fireworks.london/parade.html
to a giant bonfire, German Beer Festival, Ice skating and lots and lots of food – plus fireworks and a light show.
Fridays Laser show starts at 20.35 – Fireworks display 21.00-21.25
Saturdays Laser show starts at 19.35 – Fireworks display 20.00-20.25

However, there are plenty of great places to stand and enjoy the show for free – you know where they are!
And if you want to get away from all that noise I know the perfect place – a silent disco in Hornsey Town Hall Saturday night. Well, not exactly silent but at least you get to choose the vibe.
