GARDEN GURU: I’m very taken with this new hybrid – it has just about every quality my heart desires in a rose: it’s beautiful; disease resistant; flowers freely all summer long; has a heavenly perfume; and even its own theme tune, which comes into my head every time I look at it. Actually, that last thing is a bit annoying but we’ll pass over that. The name of this paragon? Rosa x persica ‘For Your Eyes Only’ – available at Sunshine Garden Centre at a reasonable price.
