It’s going to be another strange weekend weather wise with showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and a much improved, sunny , warm but not hot. Sunday. So if you’ve got nothing planned and don’t want to make much effort this is how I see the weekend: a cosy half-term type film on Saturday afternoon while the thunderstorms are going on and a picnic lunch at Kenwood House on Sunday to make the most of the one day of sunshine and reasonably warm (23c) weather for a few days to come. Next week the diary is full of local events including the rather amazing Crouch End Festival – so fingers crossed for better times.
We really are blessed to have this wonderful place so near us and totally free too. There are trails for the under five’s and another one for older children – entry to the recently renovated house is free as is the right to picnic on the Repton designed lawns.
Films on in Crouch End and Muswell Hill include these easy viewing offerings:
The new Tim Burton Alice Through the Looking Glass
The very soppy Me Before You
The bromance between Russell and Ryan in The Nice Guys and
the latest X-Men offering Apocalypse, which doesn’t sound very relaxing but no doubt it will all work out by the end of the film.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you’re doing.
