As you may have noticed – I like a weekend with a theme and, as I have been thinking about how stiff my joints are, the words supple and bendy come to mind. If it wasn’t for the fact that it is my birthday I may well have been making my way to the huge extravaganza that is the OM Yoga Show on at Ally Pally this weekend, to do a bit of body bending (would love to do what she’s doing).

It looks pretty amazing and the organisers say ‘From absolute beginners to the most die-hard yogis, there really is something for everyone at the OM Yoga Show London. This is the largest yoga gathering of its kind in Europe, and it’s a weekend not to be missed!’
Now for something I am going to do this weekend – go to the plywood exhibition at the V&A which I have been keen to see for some weeks. My family are indulging me tomorrow.
Called, Plywood: Material of the Modern World this free exhibition features groundbreaking pieces by Alvar Aalto, Marcel Breuer and Charles and Ray Eames, alongside an incredible range of objects from planes to skateboards. The exhibition tells the story of how this often-overlooked material made the modern world – love the curves of this bent plywood chair.

And finally, a bendy treat – churros with chocolate – I certainly don’t approve of the straight ones. There are plenty of places which serve them locally and the weather will be a perfect excuse for this delicacy –  windy, wet and grey.
Have a lovely weekend.
