Is anyone doing something that isn’t all about getting ready for Christmas this weekend? You could go into town to the Abstract Expressionist exhibition at the Royal Academy which closes on the 2nd January 2017:

or you could gird your loins and push your way around the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and do a little light ice skating on their pop up rink.

The Regents Street Christmas lights are a must-see for a lot of people – (I think they’re pretty this year),

as are the St Martin in the Field Christmas Concerts – candle-lit Messiah tonight!

But, if you just need to get things done at home, you may like to stock up of Gallic goodies at the French Market in St James Square Muswell Hill this weekend,

or visit the Breaking Boundaries arts and crafts exhibition in the Original Gallery, Hornsey Library – all exhibitors belong to the East Finchley Open Artists group.

Or maybe you won’t have time for anything much apart from writing those last minute Christmas cards – and helping with that all important letter to Santa. Have a happy weekend whatever you are doing.
