We have another dull weekend in store weatherwise and it’s pretty quiet on the local events front too. This might be the moment to go into town and see an exhibition.
The Summer Show at the Royal Academy always makes for an interesting couple of hours. Pick out your favourites and compare with your companion’s choice.
I enjoyed the William Eggleston exhibition on at the National Portrait Gallery.
And then, of course, there is the marvellous Georgia O’Keeffe exhibition on at Tate Modern. It’s a bit expensive if you’re not a member but is a rare chance to see her famous close up flower paintings plus works like this landscape which broadens our image of her vision.
All these are ticketed but remember there there are so many fabulous works by the best artists who ever lived on show free at our marvellous National Gallery.
Happy weekend to you whatever you are doing.
