The BBC weather people say that not a drop of rain will fall this weekend. We won’t see the sun either but with highs of 22C it is surely time to get out and about in one of our lovely green spaces. Of course, the garden counts as a green space too so plan a BBQ, chances are it will not be rained off.
Here are just a few of the parks and woods in our area:
Kenwood House – always a favourite with Hampstead Heath beyond if you’re feeling energetic.
Waterlow Park is very handy for those living near Highgate Village or Archway.
Priory Park was my childhood hang out – great that the bowling green is back after some years out of service.
If it gets too hot get into the woods – Coldfall above and Cherry Tree Wood below are two hot cool spots, as are Highgate and Queen’s Wood.
The Parkland Walk is full of light and shade.
Alexandra Park is a reliable friend.
And I always think of Finsbury Park as a grand old dame.
Whatever you so this weekend – enjoy yourselves.
