For some people the start of the 6 Nations Rugby Tournament will be enough excitement for the weekend, but if you’re a fan of Highgate you might like to pop ‘Upstairs at the Gatehouse’ where, ‘The People On the Hill’, is being performed on Saturday 7.30 and Sunday at 4pm. Described as, ‘A Unique Look at Highgate’s Past from The Ice Age to 1953 – A Fascinating Story Told in Words and Pictures’.

The piece, by Brendan Nolan, has been revived in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Highgate Society – which is offering a free glass of wine before the performance at its headquarters up the road.
