This has got me thinking about what an amazing art form film is –  and it encourages so many other creative industries which collaborate with it. One of the arts that we generally don’t give a thought to is that of the Film Poster.
Who doesn’t get gooey over images from their all-time favourite films? However, there is a growing number of people who are collecting posters for their artistic merit and special period feel. The poster below says 1970 out loud!
All genres are sought after – some people have very specific collections:
horror,
comedy,
thrillers,
and great love stories of course.
There are interesting collectors books, some of which define a decade in film.
And there are some really serious dealers too like https://www.reelposter.com/
I also think that one of these would make a wonderfully special gift  – always on the lookout for gift ideas. So, whether you are buying for someone else or spoiling yourself I think these period features really hit the spot!
