One of the pleasures of summer is having a cool glass of wine in the garden – my warm weather treat is rosé . How do we keep it cool outside? Most of us go for a handy but rather ugly frozen sleeve but you could transform the whole experience with one of these!

This Edwardian silver plated wine cooler could be yours for around £800.00. Expensive but it would function as a cache-pot when not chilling your favourite bottle.

Or, how about this pretty, antique, gilded cut glass wine cooler – would look lovely with ice in?

This is a Regency wine cooler with lead lining. I am not sure but this looks to me like a wine glass cooler – which is something the Georgians used to do.

This wooden George III wine cooler, on the other hand, was definitely made for a bottle or six (priced around £1,600).

For a simpler look you could go for one of these Victorian silver plated champagne coolers,

or at the other end of the scale, this Art Nouveau take on the silver champagne bucket.

And, for a bit of fun, there’s this Art Deco ‘Top Hat’!

Fancy a lacquered, goat’s skin champagne sculpture – this is for you – an early 20th century piece by Italian master Aldo Tura.
Time to pimp your pouring!
