I have to stay my hand when I pass a beautiful hand-crafted basket else I would have a house stuffed full of them. This ancient craft has been used to make all sorts of useful things and continues to inspire designers today. Take a fresh look at basket-weave:

Handmade baskets piled high in a local market – so tempting.

I also like this pretty basket-weave glass splash back – it could be a bit difficult to clean I suppose.

basket lloyd loom

but I love these and would have them in my garden any day.

basket raised beds

basket building

This is the Longaberger Basket Building 1997 – an American manufacturer of maple wood baskets and is based on their best seller – the ‘Medium Market Basket’.
