Eggs have always been a symbol of spring and rebirth – which is why they are an important part of the Easter tradition in Britain. But eggs are not just for this time of year –  they are an example of perfection all year round: the perfect fast food and an inspirational pure form. So this week I am in the mood for eggs!

This vintage Easter bonnet made me laugh – what a great idea.
Could this be the an eggcellent table decoration for your Easter lunch? It’s by David Stark Creatives.
Anyone with this eggcentric table by Polish design studio WamHouse will, of course, not have to worry about giving an egg theme to their Easter table.
Here’s an eggsample of egg inspired architecture. ‘The Exbury Egg’ is a temporary self-sustaining work space for artist and ecologist Stephen Turner.
‘The Mumbai Egg’ takes the theme to eggzilarating heights – check out this New Age ovate office building by James Law.
However, you don’t have to be a fancy architect to be eggcited by the creative possibilities of the egg. This woman has nailed it.
And these little people are eggactly the right thing to get children interested in growing things from seed.
Faberge did alright from their idea to produce the most perfectly eggstravagant works of art possible.
But when it comes down to it there is no way we can ever improve on nature. Just look at these beautiful eggsamples from real hens.
Bon appetit everyone!
