You don’t hear the expression, ‘people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones’ much any more-in fact I’ve noticed that the younger generation don’t inject their conversation with Victorian sayings at all. I remember being perplexed by many of them – who lives in a glass house? So that’s this week’s theme – glass in the house.
So, let’s start with a glass house!
Isn’t this a fabulous thing? The Glass House is by Carlo Santambrogio, an architect and glass designer working in Milan. I’m reliably informed that he will make any glass structure you want provided you have the budget.
If you’re not in the mood for a whole house how about something like this glass basin, the Lavina by Kohler – it is the prettiest I’ve found.
Or do you fancy a pendant light or two?
These are by Rothschild & Bickers – I like the coloured cords too. And for just a touch of glass I think glass doorknobs have a certain glamour – like mini crystal balls.
But not everyone thinks small when it comes to glass:

There’s so much to love about glass – I haven’t even scratched the surface.
