Here’s a warm sight for a chilly night.
Some people don’t just stack their wood – they make a wood pile into a work of art.
Even logs for the fire reflect the wonderful diversity of wood. Here its grain and colour has been played with along with different sized pieces to give texture to the piece.
Talking about texture – I love the twiggy bristles of this wild boar.
But its not all about cutsie animals – this pile has clearly been influenced by the land art movement,
while this one is more traditional – the kind of house you may expect to find in a fairy tale.
maybe he should plan a pathway too.
If you happen to live by a river or trout stream this would be fun.
This tree-motif would look good anyway and could be scaled up or down – depending on the size of your fallen trunk.

But if you’re stuck for space I think a little selfie against the shed could be achieved in just about any sized garden. Inspired?
