Have you ever noticed these signs round and about?

I confess they have not been on my radar but a good piece in The Archer by Nick Young effectively drew my attention.

The Capital Ring is a signed route which takes walkers around London in a ring which is split into 15 sections.
It goes through many green spaces, such as our local Cherry Tree Wood, Highgate Wood and Finsbury Park, but also includes quirky cafes for a spot of refreshment, wonderful viewing points, street markets and even, it seems, a floating bookshop.
The whole route is well sign-posted, either with this sort of thing or
more discrete posts like the one above. I think it’s a brilliant idea – have you tried it?
click on the link to visit the website which is packed with information https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/capital-ring
Happy walking – let me know if you’ve done our local section.
